Interested in Becoming An NSELA Affiliate? The National Science Education Leadership Association (NSELA has partnered with Flinn Scientific in an effort to enhance leadership development opportunities and expand membership and member benefits among new science education leaders nationally and to unite their respective communities. Science education leaders in districts across the country are experiencing extraordinary challenges due to the increased science education expectations and scholastic requirements being imposed along with the necessity to keep pace with the innovations in science and technology, as well as new teaching and learning objectives. The challenges are largely driven by the introduction of new science standards and assessments, the need to deliver quality content through advanced technology, the integration and expanded need for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) college and career readiness of students, the acceleration of retiring science leaders, and teacher turnover due to competing careers. These extraordinary challenges demand high-impact science education leaders and resources to meet and master the development of effective science teachers. Both NSELA and Flinn Scientific believe that these challenges are best influenced and supported through a strong network of science-education leadership and with the commitment of increased investments in science teaching and learning. NSELA and Flinn Scientific support science education through a number of conferences, workshops, networking opportunities, a wide range of resources and technology, as well as training for science education professionals at conferences. District Curriculum Directors and Science Leaders are encouraged to visit NSELA.org or FlinnSci.com for more details about our commitment to growth for today and tomorrow’s science-education leaders.
